It was great working on the cemeteries being restored this summer. The best way to start is to work on a cemetery you are connected to.

The Brashear-Hibbs cemetery off T Hahn Road is on private property. The current owners have given the Nelson County cemetery volunteers permission to work on the site. The site contains the graves and headstone of the Brashars, two of which were the wives of Alfred B. Hibbs. His son was Zachery Taylor Hibbs whose offspring were Joseph Miles Hibbs, Gabriel Hibbs, Alfred Brashear Hibbs, Mary Hibbs Crenshaw, and Florence Hibbs Hobbs. We invite all those related to become supporters by making a small donation to this project or volunteering for some of the events posted.. We need to fund fencing and need to hire a ground penetrating radar device to find the graves with missing headstones.
